40 Hours of Worship

We have not come to ask anything of you - only to acknowledge you as our everything, that in you we live, breathe and have our being.

We have come to worship and adore you. To bask in the warmth, glow, and power of your presence where there are pleasures for evermore and where mountains melt like wax.

We have come to join the 24 elders in Revelation 4:10-11 to bow before you, praise you, worship you, and cry in one accord with them holy, holy, holy.

WHAT IS 40 HOURS OF WORSHIP & PRAYER?

A special period of continuous worship and prayer. The time is Intended to nurture the love of the faithful for the Lord, create a Shield of protection from evil and temptation. It is also a time to thank God for all He has done.

WHY 40 HOURS?

The number 40 signifies a sacred time: the flood rains of Noah’s time lasted 40 days and nights; Jesus fasted and prayed for 40 days before beginning His public ministry. The vision is to experience worship as it is in heaven daily, with 40 hours of prayer Described in Revelations 4 as non-stop spontaneous worship and Davidic worship which was often prophetic.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Worship & Prayer, Utterances, Communion, Silence, Alter Call

 How Should I Prepare?

Many people have never worshipped for 40 hours or “tarried”.

Consider fasting before attending to open yourself up spiritually. Pray in tongues prior to the  service and be open to being used by the Holy Spirit. This is a time of restoration and focus on God, but you don’t have to stay the entire 40 hours.

WHAT TO BRING?

You should seek to be as comfortable as possible so that nothing inhibits the flow of the spirit.

Feel free to bring your bible, pen and paper, blankets, and bottles of water.

The Vision

The praise and worship practices of David's time included numerous musical instruments, singing, chanting, shouting, bowing, standing, lifting of hands, clapping of hands, processions and dancing. There were times of great joy, repentance, and introspection.

The Mission

The mission is to plant a sustainable furnace of 24-7-365 worship, prayer and supernatural explosive outreach, releasing a sound of indigenous, vertical, creative worship in Bethelites which will continue in their individual lives, their families and the ends of the earth. When night and day prayer has been offered to God throughout history, God released a breakthrough of his power.

The Experience

We want our worship to center on experiencing the "manifest presence" of the Lord. The sense of his present reality with his people is expressed through music and the exercise of the charismata or spiritual gifts, the "vocal gifts" of prophecy, tongues and interpretation.
