Our Vision

A world where no one lives or dies without Christ!

In 1990, a young Dr. Darlingston and Chrys Johnson were attending a pastor’s conference in the United States, from their native country Liberia. Shortly before their return to Liberia, a brutal civil war escalated in Liberia, closing all airports. Stranded, the Johnsons asked God for guidance, and he told them “don’t be refugees, be missionaries. With that, Bethel World Outreach Ministries International) was founded in August 1990, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by Bishop Darlingston and Pastor Chrys Johnson. The first service was held at Howard University’s Blackburn Center, with 17 persons present.

For the last 30 years, God has allowed Bethel to be actively involved in sharing the Gospel of Jesus around the world. We’ve taken the great commission seriously, and have invested time, resources, and human equity into helping people discover Jesus, grow in their faith, and make an impact by serving others.

Over the last 30 years, God has allowed us to serve people in villages and metropolitan cities; from ordinary people in homes made of mud, to world leaders in presidential residences. He’s helped us provide communities access to clean drinking water; He’s helped us provide medical aid, clothing, and food in much needed areas. He’s helped us build schools and orphanages, and help us prepare the next generation of leaders.

By the grace of God, we’ve planted more than 350 churches and fellowships in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America, and North America. After 30 years, our commitment to the Great Commission is even stronger than it was before.

Effective January 1, 2021, our name changed from Bethel World Outreach Ministries International to Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Unlimited, and each church within the organization is now Harvest Intercontinental Church. For 30 years, we’ve worked hard as Bethelites, to lay the foundation for the Harvest that is to come.

Our vision is a world where no one lives or dies without Christ. We believe that every person is loved by God, and that God desires a personal relationship with them through Jesus. We’re on a mission to bring the message of Jesus to the whole world.

MISSION

To win the lost at all cost, and make as many disciples for Christ as we possibly can in our generation.
